Description
Now that we have a confirmed competitor list, and that some of the first round line ups have been spoiled by promotional materials, I'm going to be very busy. This is the line up for Week 1, a very stacked week, seeing the return of Razer, Behemoth and Terrorhurtz as well. I don't know which battle is first, but they'll be labelled Battle 1 and Battle 2 for convenience:

Battle 1:
Behemoth - The 2016 Series marks Behemoth's 9th consecutive series of Robot Wars, a record no other robot can boast. It's well-armoured front scoop made it an effective spinner-killer in the original run, but it remains to be seen if it will hold up to the new generation of spinners.
Bonk - Built by Team Mute, Bonk boasts a custom-made CO2 system that minimizes the jump caused by firing it's axe. However, it's short range may leave it at risk from retaliation from it's opponent.
The General - Last seen in the Soccer trial in Series 3, The General now has two large spinning discs, but the exposed wheels could be a drawback.
Carbide - Sister bot of Cobalt, currently competing in BattleBots. The machine was untested when it competed, as the team considered it too dangerous. Has a lot of potential, Provided we don't see a repeat of Cobalt vs Overhaul

Battle 2:
Razer - Two-time World Champion and Series 5 winners, with the best combat record of any robot in Robot Wars. One of the longest serving contestants, with 2016 being their 8th Series (Only missing Series 1 and 7). Whilst it was ahead of it's time in the original series, and this robot has seen some modification for the new series, it remains to be seen if it's got what it takes to remain competitive with the advancements in robotics over the years.
Nuts - A thwackbot accompanied by two small wedgebots to impede their opponent's mobility, Nuts is armed with two chains with 1kg weights on the end, and a metal bar surrounding the robot to flip opponents and for protection. However, to focus on the weapon, the team has deliberately neglected the armour, and considering who they're up against, that may be a problem.
Kill-E-Crank-E - Built by Robin Herrick of Team Cold Fusion (Bodyhammer, Pussycat), this robot looks a lot like S3, and like S3 it's main weapon is a spinning disc. When the robot charges an opponent, it can break quickly and the momentum will propel the spinning disc at it's target. Kill-E-Crank-E's wheels come from Series 1 and 2 entrant Bodyhammer, and was completely untested at the start of filming as it was only just finished in time.
Terrorhurtz - Another returning veteran, Terrorhurtz came fourth in Series 6, and reached the final of the Challenge Belt tournament. Out of all the robots to beat it, only two of them are competing in this series, and it will be facing one of them in it's first battle: Razer.
