I guess it depends on who you ask. I really enjoy them myself and feed them often. People tend to call them pests, but all they really do is try and survive like all creatures.

Great shot! I love what you did with the frame, too. The colors and focus are nice and sharp, and you can positively feel the texture of his fur. Really well done.

One thing I have found...full time manual focus is a must. Took forever to get autofocus to do like I wanted.

I've noticed that manual focus is much better than the autofocus much of the time, too. Especially with the macro lens. It will be interesting to see how it does with the 75-300mm lens...

I like to use both. With Canon usm ring-type focus you can be in auto mode and still manually focus. I LOVE THAT. Unfortunately, my 300mm isn't. :crys: Oh well, I will be a smarter consumer next time.

That's a pretty, natural shot with good focus. I like the little touch of the tail through the border of the image.

The border thing just hit me because I wanted a border, but also I wanted all the tail that I had captured on there at the same time. So I made it work.

I like the vivdness of the green grass which contrasts against the duller grey of the squirrel. I also like what you did with the framing, having a few blades of grass and the tale overlapping the edges.
