Tamaki sat in music room three, anxious for the other hosts to arrive for after school club activities, although he wasn't really interested in Hikaru, Kaoru, Kyouya or Honey and Mori arriving. He subconsciously knew who he was really waiting for, his beloved should-be-girlfriend Haruhi. Though he obviously knew it in the back of his mind, he never said it. He blew it off as "Fatherly love" and thought nothing more of it, but this newfound desire to… kiss her… made him feel like a pervert. He was always asking Kyouya for advice on trivial matters like the inane things he sulks over in the corner, so he was scared to ask him a serious question such as this. He brought matters into his own hands, and he was still trying to figure things out, but he had come to the conclusion that he has feeling for her that fathers aren't suppost to have for their daughters. (Although obviously didn't think of it as love.) He also had concluded that Haruhi WASN'T his daughter. After all, he was only a Freshman… soon to be Sophomore… in high school. How was he to have a daughter the same age as him? Please. He had so outgrown that… last night. He was deep in thought before the tall pink doors; God knows why that was the color of this school, squeaked open and Haruhi's beautiful head popped in.

"Haruhi!" Tamaki chimed, his face lighting up at the sight of the brunette.

"Hey Senpai." She said, half heartedly, letting out a long sigh afterwards. She looked upset and her eyes were red; obviously from crying.

This sadness on her part made Tamaki's heart sink. He hated it when Haruhi even SEEMED sad, so he had to find out if she was upset.
He patted the cushion next to him, and to his delight Haruhi came and sat next to him.

"What's the matter?" Tamaki asked, trying to sound as sympathetic as possible, though he obviously wasn't doing a very good job of it, because Haruhi started crying. This made his whole body feel like it was underwater, he felt clammy and he wanted to cry, too. Seeing her sad almost made his heart collapse. He slid his arm around her waist and rested her on his chest. Seeing it was 3 hours before classes started, he had no worry of anybody disturbing them.

Once Haruhi had cried herself out, she squeezed Tamaki and whispered,
"My dad is in the hospital. Someone hit him with a car when he was walking home."

Tamaki was shocked at this, it made him feel like Ranka-chan was his own father, and that his own father had gone through the same thing.

"Oh, Haruhi, I'm so sorry. If you want I could come to the Hospital with you after school to visit Ranka-chan"

"Thanks, Tamaki. You really are the best friend anyone could ask for."

Tamaki blushed at this declaration, and snuggled Haruhi close. He still felt bad for her, but he was glad he got this chance to hold Haruhi close.

When school was over, both Tamaki and Haruhi skipped club duties and drove right to the hospital after school. There, they went to the emergency room and were lead to Ranka's room by a nice nurse. When they arrives, Ranka-chan was laying in bed, obviously very hurt and asleep. Haruhi said she didn't want to wake him up ,so they went to the hospital's cafeteria to get some food. Tamaki insisted on paying, and when they sat down, Haruhi tripped.

"Whoa!" Tamaki caught her about an inch before the floor, although it didn't really help much because he fell on top of her. He lifted himself up with his arms before realizing what had happened, and a deep shade of pink swept over his face, though this moment was too fragile, so he offered his hand for her to get up. Haruhi took his hand as he pulled her up off the ground. Haruhi stared at him, sporting the same color Tamaki was, before she smiled and hugged him.

"Thank you so much for coming with me, Tamaki," She whispered. "I can't imagine anybody else being here with me bedsides you. And truthfully, you are the only one I'd want here with me."
