Using 100% acrylic yarn, after tying the yarn together into a weft/clump, you brush it out with a wire pet brush, then flatten it with a hair straightening iron. This de-spins and organizes the fibers into looking like fur. There are a few good tutorials on youtube

That being said, this is probably the prettiest yarn tail I've ever seen! That's awesome! I bet some herculean amounts of work went into making that tail. Beautiful!

Haha~ Late reply is late. I've since found out how to make them, and I make them myself now, using Ibbins actual tutorial. xD

Yeah, I just noticed the post date... I feel silly now, though it might help someone else. Awwwh, it looks like Ibbins took down the tutorial. Well I'm working on my own design now too...

Anyway, Sorry to hijack the comments. I can't get over the subtle variations in color on this tail. It is so amazing.
