Don't talk trash about this lady. Whether or not she meets the definition of what a drow truly is is not important here. I love the half-shaved head style with just a slight fringe above the ear, the multiple earrings, and her with a cigarette holder adds to her seductive presence. You did well, iara-art.

She might be a mage... By the way, the drow are elves (really pronounced "trow", sort of, in Welsh, if you're wondering), and in the original lore they're tiny dark-skinned feyfolk, mischievous and with an awful temper. But, they're actually slender and they don't look much like humans. Which this here girl does, she has the proportions of a human female. She'd have to be taller and thinner, and maybe a tougher/frivolous thuggish body language/face (they're sort of the bullies/thugs of the elven world who just adore to spoil somebody's day). Just not vulgar. Send a message if you're interested, there's an acquainted painter who did a lot of drawings of real thugs and rablle. Extrapolated to elven it might just work (otherwise most of the artwork on Deviant, and not exactly yours, tends to be too posh/showoff/vulgar)

Elves are originally slender and thin tiny magical creatures, they're not that different from fairies. Often they're treated as otherwordly spirits showing up in out world for fun. It's the fancy D&D changes that turned them into nearly human-stature creatures. Ever since they've been humanised more and more.
BTW, the Welsh "trow" and Scandinavian "troll" are much the same word, slightly different spelling/pronounciation. Both refer to a mischievous malevolent spirit/magical creature. Originally there's not as much difference between the two, but later they began to drift apart, one became a sort of dark small fairy, and the other first a small hairy gnome-like creature, and later what you get around in games and such, a big nasty monster.

[link] - she looks kind of half-human (too human) in face, but the body's more elven. That's David Gough by the way, he himself was a black mage in youth. It shows in his art somewhat.

The painter's Mugbook album, not sure if it's public (it should be).

- some of it is a tad harsh, but he's a realist. He actually spends his lifetime looking for people's expressions and features.

It's original for the hair cut, the eyes and the cigarette, but also a classical Drow stile. Great!

Interesting hairstyle, I love the colouring of the skin, it came out wonderfully. The details in the outfit are quite nice as well. The soft greens and purples in the image compliment each other nicely.
