This piece is MARVELOUS! I am very critical when looking at photo-manipulations and how well the process it executed. This image is very clean and well done. By Clean, I am talking about whether you can see where parts of the image have been edited, cut out, moved, etc. I see no evidence of the process of piecing the images together.
They layout and composition is done very well and is effective. How the pear house is off to the side rather than right in the middle, and the mountains in the background as well as floating leaves in foreground balance the image out. If you also apply the golden mean rule, the top of the pear where the sun and stem meet would be that point and that area is just as beautiful to look at as the rest.
The colors are rich and very contrasting, However they work so well because of the gradation form the golden, to pink, to blur and purple. I feel that the sky with it's purple's and blue's make it so much more amazing than if the sky was just all orange and yellow.
The lighting- the lighting is spectacular. The parts that are supposed to be highlighted are, and where there are supposed to be shadows there are. Even the lighting in the door way is amazing.
The idea is very unique and a little bit humorous, But with it executed so well I feel that it is very real and believable.
Overall I think this is an excellent piece that is done very well. I love the idea and it is awe inspiring to me.
