It's so damn sketchy! But I used a tablet rather then my usual method and I like it so don't judge it based on that!Meet my version of Marik, if he had a past self that is.
I call him Mariku but his nickname or title in his past life is Rameses.
(Rameses = Son of Ra.)
He is nicknames that because most stories about him say you can see him rise out of the flaming wreckage of a burning temple as if he were a phoenix and since he gives his praises to Ra, thus he has earned the title: Rameses, son of Ra.
Yes, Mariku wears a vest to cover up his scarification on his back but the tail end of the creature that mars him is still visible if he moves the right way.
He also wears a dark purple arm band on his left arm with gold trimming, makes a nice decoration but under it is a flat silver piece of metal sharped into a blade which he uses to slip out and kill guards that watch over other gods and goddesses temples or anyone who stands in his way.
It's kind of shaped like a letter opener but without a real handle and is way more sharp.
Blessed by Ra, a god who was fairly easy to trick, Mariku has gained some abilities in the art of magic.
The strange fire colored shirly thing above, most likly one of them, kind of like a black hole in effect but steals heat/fire/ember and removes them from his foes in a collective mass he can basically toss and go into spontaneous combustion... so it will set whatever it touches on fire...
Yes, he pulls his hair over to one side! Quite common really back then and keeps it from getting messy... messier, you get the picture...

Heh, him as a belly dancer suddenly amuses me- I think I know how to introduce him into a story should I ever make one and if he were to make an appearance before the Pharaoh. *cackles*
The little low ponytail thing was a must it was something he had to have if I even made a past self for Marik and thus was the first part of his outfit I even had prepared in mind. XD

I'm glad the first thing in your mind was something factual about Egyptians, as opposed to something Japanese x'D I love reading about past characters that are so historically wrong [and this is based on how bad YGO is about being accurate as well], that I even notice x'3 My favorite is when the characters are in Egypt, and they use Japanese words... lulz

I usually play around with the lines you can curve in paint.net to make my digital works but I was left with a tablet and sketching on it is fun at times. ^_^;;;

The name plants ideas of him killing the pharaoh and taking power over egypt in my brain (since Rameses was an actual pharaoh; Rameses the great) But anywho~ This is awesome! ^^ His outfit has an Aladdin-ish feel which i like, and i like his info you made for him too

I don't think he necessarily loves it more that he has to wear it to hide his scarification since they actually mean something (Though he doesn't know that, he just finds them a curse more then anything.)

Actually, yes I did leave those out on purpose. I also did not give him earrings but I might later on if anything should happen to make me want to give him some...
The eye marking are meant to keep the sun from blinding them really and since Marik is a Sun God warshiper I figured he would not really need them since Ra would protect him for it...
