Description A Grey Wolf in Yellowstone National park walks through the brush with a a cautious step.

This wolf is the lone female of the small canyon pack, despite there small size the wolves of this pack cover a great distance and I have personally seen them over 30 miles from where this image was taken. Each wolf has a definite role and personality within this pack. This female is a very confident but cautious animal every step i have watched her taken has been a delicate and calculated movement.

Wolves learn observe and learn there surrounds to a level of detail few of us understand. Wolves are able to detect even the slightest disturbance on there domain and seem to know every rock and brush they come across.

Very nice capture - I love the details of her face, her eyes are full of expression. Is that a wound on her front knee?

They had just fed on a kill, likely it is blood from that.
