The fifth in my new set of zodiac faeries. I was looking through some of my old pieces and my Zodiac Faerie pieces from 2009-2011 were looking very... dated. And sad. So I felt that they needed to be updated and that I could do them far more justice now than I could then.Gemini is the twins. I didn't deviate tremendously from my original take on it, mostly updating the art rather than the theme. It allowed me to make their wings a lot more 'gemmy' and I was able to express more of Gemini's flirtiness using Victoria's Secret models as a basis. The gemstone is agate which let me go crazy with the wing colours, fire agate for one, and blue banded for the other. Butterfly wings were chosen specifically as Gemini is the 'social butterfly' of the Zodiac. The flower is lily of the valley on their wrists. The colour is yellow. At the top right is Mercury, the ruling planet of Gemini
Gemini is vivacious, sociable, clever, and easily distracted.
