Description
Here is the tenth card of the Tarot's Major Arcana X-Men style. Based on the Rider-Waite model of tarot, card #9 is The Hermit. The choice of character this time is Eric Lehnsherr / Magus / Max Eisenhardt (Magneto). Magneto was picked because The Hermit represents someone who has gone a long way in his life and has reflected upon it, coming to a new conclusion. Magneto is literally the perfect choice for this. He was a villain for a long while, he went off into seclusion for a while, and after a long string of events he returned and laid his helmet down at the feet of Scott Summers, becoming a hero instead and bringing a degree of wisdom and humility with him.The staff is a symbol of pilgrimage and authority. Normally the Star of David is contained within a lantern but here instead it is inside his helmet, lighting the way to deeper truths.
