October Smash Bros entry #2: The Ruthless Racer of Evil: BLACK SHADOW!
Name: Black Shadow
Universe: F-Zero
Entrance: Black Shadow zooms onto the stage in his racing vehicle The Black Bull! He steers onto the stage and leaps out of his vehicle as it drives off and he gets ready to battle!
ECHO FIGHTER-----------------------------------
Black Shadow from the F-Zero series comes to smash bros as an echo fighter! Black Shadow is unique because he is the first echo fighter to not echo a character from his series. Instead, Black Shadow is an echo fighter of Ganondorf. Black Shadow plays very similar to how Ganondorf played in Super Smash Bros 4, so unlike Ganondorf he does not use a sword in his smash attacks. Black Shadow retains the same abilities that Ganondorf had/has but has his own unique victory animations and taunts. Along with that, many of Black Shadow’s attacks (mainly his smash attacks) deal electric DMG instead of dark DMG.
Specials------------------------------
B- Shadow Punch- Black Shadow winds up his left arm while charging blue electricity in his fist and then releases a powerful electricity infused backfist. Just like Ganondorf, Black Shadow can also tap the opposite direction quickly to deliver an extra powerful 180 spin followed by a shadow punch.
Side B- Boost Choke- Black Shadow laughs maniacally as he lunges forward with a hand extended and infused with electricity. Once making contact with an opponent, he grabs their face and delivers a blast of electricity that drops them to the ground. This allows for a follow-up attack from Black Shadow afterwords but missing will leave Black Shadow wide open to assault. Also can be seen more of a reference to Deathborn choking Black Shadow in F-Zero GX.
Up B- Deathborn Dive- Black Shadow leaps upward in a recovery fashion. If he makes contact with an opponent he will latch onto them and discharge a powerful blast of blue electricity before launching off of them with a powerful explosion. The recovery is not very high, so it isn’t useful for getting Black Shadow close to the stage from afar.
Down B- Bull Kick- While levitating off of the ground, Black Shadow enhances his foot with electricity as he flies forward while exhausting electric DMG. The attack deals relatively high shield DMG and if used in the air Black Shadow will fly diagonally downward where he can deliver a meteor strike.
Final Smash- Black Bull- Black Shadow calls in his vehicle the Black Bull, which crashes through the stage in front of Black Shadow as he yells, “Submit!”. Any opponent caught in the vehicle’s entrance will be launched in slow motion into the air towards the top of the screen. A short cinematic cutscene appears where Black Shadow is seen zooming down a racing track in the Black Bull towards the trapped opponents! The opponents are run over and sent flying as they exit the cinematic and are dealt their DMG and knockback as everyone goes back to the arena.
Standard Moves---------------------------------------------
A – Black Shadow delivers a palm thrust forward.
A Left/Right- Black Shadow delivers a powerful short-range gut-kick forward.
A Dash- Black Shadow rushes forward with a powerful shoulder tackle.
A Up- A delayed axe kick that delivers a blue fire explosion. This is one of the most powerful up tilt attacks in the game and has a gravitational pull effect. However, the lag to deliver the attack is long and can make it difficult to pull off.
A Down- Black Shadow delivers a crouching shin kick.
Smash Left/Right- Black Shadow delivers an electric energy emitted elbow thrust that can be angled.
Smash Up- Black Shadow reels back his foot and delivers a very powerful electric stretch kick upward.
Smash Down- Black Shadow delivers a back and forth kick infused with electric energy.
Aerial Neutral- Black Shadow delivers a back kick followed by a roundhouse kick.
Aerial Forward- Black Shadow delivers a powerful overhand punch that is capable to dealing a meteor strike.
Aerial Backward- Black Shadow delivers an electric back fist attack.
Aerial Down- Black Shadow delivers a powerful electric double foot stomp attack.
Aerial Up- Black Shadow delivers a backflipping kick attack.
Taunt/Result Screen---------------------------------------------------
Taunt 1 (Up) – Black Shadow cracks his knuckles as he looks at the screen and says, “What will it be? Domination or death?”
Taunt 2 (Side) – Black Shadow performs a roundhouse kick while standing on one foot as he says, “Bow down before my power!”
Taunt 3 (Down) – Black Shadow lifts a fist skyward in triumph as he yells out, “This is the beginning of the reign of evil!”
Defeat Pose- Black Shadow stands with his back to the camera and his arms crossed.
Victory Pose 1- Black Shadow lands on the stage with his fist into the ground. As he slowly stands he says, “Look upon true power!”
Victory Pose 2- Black Shadow delivers a flurry of punches as he says, “I won’t miss the chance to make mincemeat out of you!”
Victory Pose 3- Black Shadow pulls onto the victory screen in the Black Bull as he steps out of the cockpit onto the vehicle saying, “My reign begins now!”

If ever Ganondorf were to have himself a cloned fighter from his own games, I think Demise would be the right choice, Black Shadow meanwhile I think will likely have his own Moveset.
