Wheeee, I'm finally done!
The picture is actually a remake of this one here from May 2008:
I like doing these pictures with background the most, since only these pictures really feel "complete" to me. Also, Krytery really needed a new full picture after I haven't drawn him for so many years and he finally found a proper place in one of my stories.
I'm mostly satisfied with how it turned out, although I think that I kind of overdid it with the detailing...

Vision: This is absolutely gorgeous. You really captured the scene with the mixture of blues and silvers. The line-art is so clear and smooth. And you truly did amazingly well on the defining of the muscles. Especially around the neck and wings, the shading is fantastic. And I can't even explain how perfect the anatomy is on this ohmygod.
Originality: I love the image. It seems to really have a story behind it, it's very lively and flowing. It's not still, and that's really rare to capture in a full blown painting such as this. Especially with dragons because they're SO popular now a days. It's a lot more original than the typical fire-breathing eastern dragons. This is beautiful and I love the idea of it. <3
Technique: Oh god, I love the techniques you used. I mean just look at those moons. The mixture of colors is so well done and defined that it's not just a glob of colors, it actually has the feeling of depth to it. And the black chest and shoulder textures. And the blue eye-like bulbs on the neck. I love the little details how the bulbs seem to glow against the white skin. BEAUTIFUL. Not many paintings have that bounce lighting and you did it perfectly. Along the stomach and the wings from the blue water. That is so gorgeous. <3
Impact: I'm not sure what it means by impact, but this whole thing is absolutely beautiful. At first I was going to write a simple comment, but then I saw all the little details such as the bounce lighting, the glowing from the inside of the throat, the shining armor-like skin on the stomach and the scales on the shoulders and moon. I just HAD to write a critique to point out how much detail you actually put in this.

I've never used anything like copics. I'm a colored pencil artist myself but I mostly do digital art because I felt as though markers can't do all I can do with digital brushes, but this painting specifically has changed my mind. You, my friend, have true talent. You are now one of my newest inspirations. <3<3

Oh, that'd be wonderful! I don't have any copics myself. I have Prismacolor markers.
But I can't seem to make them work the way others can. So I stick with colored pencils.
And even then, it's just simple crayola twistables, though they can do wonders.
I hope to see a tutorial soon!~ I'm saving up for copics once I get myself a bamboo tablet.
So I'll be working hard to improve on that. :'D

Der Unterschied ist, wie ich dir schon gesagt hab, einfach nur bombastisch. Alleine all die Details in den Wellen machen das Bild richtig lebendig. Der Mond im Hintergrund gibt dem ganzen eine richtig surrealistische Atmosphäre und lässt Krytery in dem aufziehenden Sturm nur noch bedrohlicher wirken. Krytery hat sich natürlich selbst auch richtig verändert. Auch wenn ich das alte Design mochte, stellt das neue das Alte vollkommen in den Schatten. Du hast hier nun nicht mehr nur auf Präferenzen geachtet, sondern dir auch Gedanken zu seiner Lebensfähigkeit gemacht. Dadurch hat das neue Design einen viel wertvolleren auf seine Betrachter. Am allermeisten mag ich das Kopfdesign mit den organisch aussehenden Murmeln am Hals. Sie geben der Colourkombo einen hübschen Akzent. Auch finde ich schön, wie du das erste Paar Flossen (welche in die Luft gestreckt sind) colouriert hast. Was ich etwas schade finde, ist, dass absolut alles an dem Bild eine Art internen Wettbewerb darüber führt, die Aufmerksamkeit des Betrachters auf sich zu ziehen. Das lenkt sehrt stark von Krytery ab und verwirrt nach einigen Minuten. Ich glaube, besser wäre es gewesen, die Licht/Schattenverhältnisse, wie du sie hier gut dargestellt hast, um das Doppelte zu verstärken und nebensächliche Lichter wie die Wasserreflektionen hinter Krytery nur sehr schwach oder gar nicht darzustellen. Außerdem finde ich dieses Mal den großen Mond fehlplatziert. Ich glaube, das Bild wäre noch viel geiler geworden, wenn statt diesem großen Mond mehr Wolken die Sterne verhängen würden und aus einem Loch eventuell der kleine herausschauen würde. Somit würde man sofort die Sturmszenerie erkennen und nicht zuerst von den stark detailierten Wellen und dem großen Mond abgelenkt werden.
Alles in Allem vermittelt mir das Bild den Eindruck, als wolltest du in absolut allem deine Grenzen pushen. Du hast diese alle durchbrochen, aber auf einem einzigem Bild wirkt alles sehr überspannt. Dabei weiß ich, dass du das alles auch ausbalancieren kannst.
Ich weiß auch gerade nicht ob du das nachvollziehen kannst, vielleicht ist auch vieles davon Geschmackssache, von daher überlasse ich dir das Aussortieren der für dich relevanten Kritikpunkte c:

Das was du gerade gesagt hast, war auch das was ich selber an dem Bild nicht mag. Der Mond lenkt zu sehr von Kryterys Kopf ab, das ist mir beim zeichnen auch aufgefallen, leider viel zu spät um es zu ändern. Hatte bei Instagram sogar geschrieben dass das detailling zu clusterfucked geworden ist.
