I'm a little late to the Sonic Movie party, but here's my take on the character. He's a bit of a weird creature in the live-action film, but it grew on my.
I quite like how Sonic in the trailer gives off an electrical charge before speeding/attacking, so I'd thought about incorporating that as an aura. Does make him look sinister, but I think it's kinda cool!
This was mostly done with pencil crayon & ink, but I enhanced the outlines & upped the contrast on PhotoShop.
