Description
The black sun took roost over the distant mountains of the Eastern lands, slowly rising ominously over the horizon. The sinister, discouraging light it gave confused residents, worried many and even sent a few into madness. The thick, blackened rays that sprawled across the landscape, spreading the darkest of emotions through the residents of this populous land.

One set of eyes feasted upon this sun in particular, his eyes shaking and his mentality degrading. For a moment, he could only question the very existence of the sun before his mind was driven into a seething rage. Primal anger flowed through him like sand through fingers as a once forgotten instinct among the most ancient of races was awakened within him. His mind cried out for blood, greed and flesh as his ancient genes became dormant.

Ryouka has a strange genetic disorder commonly known as an avatism, also known as an evolutionary throwback where ancestral genes are dormant (think of a snake with legs, teeth in chickens or a human with large canines, also explains why he looks strange). His avatism overtakes his mentality at the sight of the black sun, sending him into what you see here.

Gold, guts and glory! All with a bit of an ogre-like brutality about it. He mentality just goes to the ground; however, when he's out of the light of that sun, he recovers his mental state.

He also appears to be slightly older, his claws becoming more pronounced, showing his nasty teeth a lot more while generally moving in a feral manner. I guess you could see it as a sort of werewolf thing going on here without turning all furry and crap, or Tarzan with more rage. He becomes a mental monster, to put it lightly.

Who knows how far I can take this with the Basilisk event, but hopefully it can get under control soon enough x) Maybe.

Don't ask about the style of this picture. I thought I'd try to differ my style a bit (lolstyle, if it even exists x) ) and go for something a little more abstract than usual. I like how this turned out better than how I imagined it in colour.
