Description Here's Link in that damned Gerudo prison you get thrown into if you get caught sneaking into their fortress.  Only I figure they'd probably take all his gear so no longshot help for him!  BUAHAHA.  This is one of my best Link pics, i think.

I got the textures for the ground and walls from these two stock photos:

Background is to much texture, makes it look inconsistent with the character.
The brush strokes are too visible makes it look incomplete.
Posing is not so bad, but overall its not impressive, I would try to make it look sadder.

Fair enough!  The background is stock photo and the figure is painted, so I'm not surprised.  And I do tend to leave the brush strokes a little rough  Spot on.  Thanks!  I will keep those in mind in future pictures.  C:

I know it's not in the game but I imagined it like this...
Link gets captured in the dungeon and all his gear is taken away but a "Gerudo appears through the hatch in the top of his cell and throws his hookshot down to him, then throws down a deku nut and disappears. In the last moment before the flash Link catches a golden glimpse of a harp and realizes that once again the mysterious young man Sheik has helped him.

In my head canon he only gets captured the once.

I could absolutely see that!

I have a much more in depth story between the two in my mind.
A confused Link, a mysterious "young man" (I actually do like the male Sheik idea cuz Zelda could do that shit) and multiple run ins and cryptic information
that leave more and more questions for this hero of time.

Well, now I feel sorry for him. But yes, the Gerudo should have taken his gear. It would have been awesome if they'd put that in the game and you have to steal back all his equipment, like what happens in Skyward Sword.

Haha!  My work is done.  XD  Yeah you know i actually enjoyed that part in Skyward Sword, having to steal back all my gear.  I thought it was fun.  XD

Oh yeah. I really enjoy stealth-based missions. Unlike most, I loved the Silent Realms in Skyward Sword.

Those were okay...I don't like time limits, though.  Thhe mountain one was really frustrating.

Really? I thought the Lanayru one was the worst, with the sinking sand. I'm the kind of person who only gets more excited by a tough challenge, though, rather than discouraged. So when I saw the Silent Realms, at first I was like "oh, this place looks so pretty and the music is lovely!" Then when I found out what the Guardians do, I loved the challenge.

hyenacub In reply to VoadorChama [2014-10-21 20:26:43 +0000 UTC]

I didn't mind the sinking sand, actually.  Weird how different people think different things are hard.  XD

I like a challenge, depending on why it's a challenge.  Take the Ocsrina of Time water temple.  That s ass.  Pure, unmitigated ass.  lol  There's not a lot of logic to tell you where to go next, the way you have to take the boots on and off is tedious and annoying and...ARGH!

ahem...rant over.  XD

I do like the Guardians...and I love that dire sounding klaxon type noise when you're running out of time.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

VoadorChama In reply to hyenacub [2014-10-21 23:34:28 +0000 UTC]

Well, it wasn't much that the sinking sank was hard; it was just annoying because I had to keep checking my map to make sure I wasn't sending poor Link into a deathtrap.

And on the other side of things, I love the OoT Water Temple. Of course, that's mostly because I'm an architecture nut. I hate the Twilight Princess Lakebed Temple, but the WT in Ocarina was pretty cool because of it's design. And it's quite lovely in the 3DS remake, too.

Ahh, the Silent Realms. Perfect for adrenaline junkies.

hyenacub In reply to VoadorChama [2014-10-22 05:56:37 +0000 UTC]

True!  Deathtraps are annoying, I must say.  not nearly as bad as the thrice-damned whirlpools in the OoT water temple....

You, my friend, must have the patience of a saint, and I salute you.  lol  Now i didin't mind the TP water temple--isn't that odd?

True!  And trying to keep away from the guardians once time runs out or you run into the wwater or those patrols...and trying not to exhaust your stamina meter?  Whoo.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

VoadorChama In reply to hyenacub [2014-10-22 13:55:29 +0000 UTC]

When you work with kids regularly, you have to have patience. The whirlpools, I grant you, were irritating. But like I said, I love architecture. The Water Temple was like Scenery Porn  for me. The room with all the dragon statues, especially, and the room where you fight Morpha.

The stamina meter was the greatest. The only Link in the series who can do parkour!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

hyenacub In reply to VoadorChama [2014-10-22 22:18:19 +0000 UTC]

True enough.  I agree about the architecture.  It was pure genius, especially for being an older console.

I liked the Dark link arena and morphos's room.

LOL! I know.  My brother loves parkour and he was all excited about it.  XD

VoadorChama In reply to hyenacub [2014-10-23 00:27:20 +0000 UTC]

I knew I was forgetting somewhere; Dark Link's arena, of course!

That and the sheer courage/insanity that Skyloftians must have to allow their kids and teens to jump off into the abyss.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

hyenacub In reply to VoadorChama [2014-10-23 02:14:02 +0000 UTC]

Of course!  XD

I dunno...it's such an normal and integral part of their world, that they might not even think twice about them jumping off.  The birds always catch them right?  To us, who live on the ground, it's inthinkable.  To the,m it's a normal Tuesday.  lol

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

VoadorChama In reply to hyenacub [2014-10-23 11:00:22 +0000 UTC]

True, that. Still, you gotta admit that parents would be paranoid; it's implied that the kids don't get their loftwings until they're around at least 2 or 3 years old, so for the time before that, you gotta be careful that the little 'uns don't try to imitate their older siblings.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

hyenacub In reply to VoadorChama [2014-10-23 22:44:20 +0000 UTC]

True!  That's why the knights are always there to catch you.  and, if you're Link, to scold you for not paying attention.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

VoadorChama In reply to hyenacub [2014-10-24 13:43:57 +0000 UTC]

I think they scold Link just for fun. With how lazy and show-offy he can be, I wouldn't be surprised if a few knights were annoyed by him, rather than fawning over him.
