Makes me wonder- is there an afterlife for Gems? Or is their gemstone their life source, the very thing allows them to exist?

Poor Steven feels so conflicted. On one hand he thought the Diamond's were evil and that his mother shattered a Diamond, but then finds out his mother was Pink Diamond all along who faked her shattering because she didn't want to be a Diamond anymore, while it looks selfish to some, Steven also understood she did it to save earth and knew she probably didn't know how the other Diamond's would react. Now that he knows the truth, my hope is that he'll meet his mom so she can tell him her story. because at this point he doesn't know her anymore.
And Rose/Pink look guilty and worried for Steven since he has to fix her mistakes. Of course given that she might be a defective Diamond and thought Yellow and Blue saw her as inferior, that probably made her think they would just move on and she can finally be free and be who she truly is inside.
