Beautiful work man. Love the way you rendered her hair.

I really like the colors here. Her look is pleasant and she's got a nice feminine form. There are some nitpicky things I could bring up, but won't as this was done as speed practice.

Ah yes, I just noticed that. Well, like I said, it's nitpicky.
First off, her foreshortened forearm looks too bulbous, like a Mega Man gauntlet. It appears much thicker than the other one. Her calf muscles particularly on the straight leg seem overdeveloped; the rest of her build is fairly slender, which dictates that her calves could be toned down a notch. Womens' legs look better becoming more slender as they approach the foot, IMO. Her raised thigh muscles seem off; I wouldn't expect it to cave inward like that where it meets the pelvis given that she's flexing her leg...especially since she's wearing armor that may or may not be flexible.
I really like the lighting effects and the work on her hair. And to push the nitpicking envelope just a bit further, her position isn't saying much about the character, and I know it was a speed draw but you could have put something in the background. I have a whole arsenal of slap-em-in-there sky backgrounds (they came with my copy of Hi Fi Color For Comics) for purposes like that. It's just that lately I've been thinking about drawing and posing characters with a modicum of purpose. Where is she going? What is she doing? Why is she doing it? What do her powers do? Without reading a bio, I'd get nothing from this image.

Ah,yes. Well, the forearms and calves are supposed to be a it large because of the boots and gauntlets. I should've made them bigger. I see the raised leg thing now and I'll have to study that. I also noticed that her straight thigh is too massive as well.
All good things you pointed out. Thanks.
You know I'm not that averse to doing backgrounds, I just care less in pin ups. Almost every panel of my AFL battles had backgrounds because they were necessary.
