Sunday was the feast of St. John Climacus. As we come close to the close of Lent, we remember the great ascetic and teacher of the basics of asceticism. St. John of thr ladder shows us how we can climb the steep ascent to God. The way of repentance and God's Holy mercy.

Right now, as we're getting close to the end of Lent, it may be tempting to give in, to stop fasting, but now is instead the time to double-down. Let us finish this journey of Lent by vigorously fighting to keep ascending the ladder, let us vigorously continue our fight against the passions, and finish Lent with all joy! And then having fasted, we will be ready to feast and celebrate the glory of the resurrection!
