Description Recently I try to find some new paper. For this picture, it was used a Canson technical 200 gsm paper, but it doesn't work well with waxed pencil crayons like Koh in Noor, but it is ok with Faber-Castell and Bambino crayons.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a good quality paper that would work well with mixed media?

Thank you! I usually use a scanner for my works and tries to adjust colours with Photoshop.

Hi, I do not know where you live.

In Brazil, we use offset paper of 140 grams ~ 240 grams for crayons.
They are cheap and absorb well with crayon colors.
In addition, when scanning gives to absorb well the colors, without spoiling the drawing.

Offset papers are for printing, but have several weights.

I live in Poland. Usually, you can buy here an offset paper with 70 to 120 g/m, which is pretty low for watercolours and colour markers

Oh, but if it's for crayons, does not that paper look good? Can you buy it from here imported to there? In ebay or Aliexpress China?

I usually draw on an offset paper when I work with pencil crayons, crayons and pen.
But I ask for recommendations for a paper that would work well with mixed media And I think better quality paper make the difference. Colours look better for me. In this case, this paper is simply wonderful for oil based pencils and kaolin clay based, but it's too smooth for waxed one

I don't really work with mixed media, but I use Canson and Strathmoore.

I like the 300 Strathmoore Drawing paper for use with Faber-Castell Polychromos (made with oil, not wax) The paper is decently thick and has a smooth texture that works well for details and blending. Because of it's thickness and smoothness, I'm assuming it would work very well with ink. Canson Artist Series Drawing paper seems a little thin for my taste.

For sketching I like to use Cason Universal Artist Series Sketch paper. I've used various sketch papers and even tried value sketch papers (YUCK), and I like this one the most. It has nice texture and holds up well.

For watercolour I love using Canson Arches. I like to use the back side of the cold pressed paper, that way I get the absorbency of cold pressed but also get a smoother surface that is closer to hot pressed. (Aaah, now I want to buy some hot pressed. xD) I've used Cotmon and Strathmoore watercolour paper and they pale in comparison to Canson Arches. I use a lot of water in my watercolour, so I want good absorbency. Cotmon and Strathmoore papers seem more fitting to those who use mostly pigment, which seems a bit weird for watercolour paper. Perhaps Cotmon watercolour paper would work nicely with ink and coloured pencil.

Thank you, Sweetheart!
Sadly, products from Strathmore are unavailable in my country and shipping cost is too much for me to buy them online.
However, I would have to put on test those Canson's papers. I owned one pad from this company dedicated for markers, but I don't really like it. But maybe, those others pads from this company hopefully, would be different.
I don't use watercolours as the main medium, just sometimes I like to draw some details with them. This is the reason why I'm not aiming for watercolour paper, but I will try those Cotmon paper for my ink works when I would get a chance to buy them.
Thank you again for your recommendations!

This paper isn't that fancy or anything but I can't help sharing it, I love doing ballpoint pen sketches and out of all the paper I've used in my life this feels like the best one to use ink on;; it absorbs the ink very well and on many levels so I feel I can even make things darker with many strokes unlike normal paper where you feel the ink is just stalling on the same point idk, even if it's not that great for making professional work it's fun to use because of the texture, everything just slides and flows really neatly~ and it's good to make pen sketches on, I didn't experiment with colors on it enough though, only with many kinds of ink (and they all ruled) I think it's a bit harder to make colors mix though but I really can't say about that point;; it just sucks that it's off color so when you scan it it looks slightly pink and not completely 100% pure white and the pages fall easily, sorry I just really wanted to promo this drawing pad I found randomly on a dollar store but surprized me with it's ink absorbing quality haha www.amazon.com/iScholar-Drawin…

You know, there has always been something about the way you draw your characters that has always felt a bit... off? Surreal? And it finally hit me: you don't give their eyes pupils.

I dunno, its obviously a stylistic choice, but it makes them look slightly alien to me.

Thank you for your opinion, I appreciate it!
Like you said, it is the stylistic choice. I wanted to give my characters that glossy, doll-like look that would work out with the rest of my style, and at the same time make them become kind of signature for me
