thank you force-of-nature. That is actually because the water wasn't still, and since it's a longer exposure, the result is like you said - blurriness of the rocks, because of the different light refraction from the point the camera is standing.

no, I know that! It's just that if you did this in England, you'd see blurred foam and dirty water. I was saying that you can still see what's underneath the water, even on a long exposure, because the water is crystal clear!
