"Actually pretty good" from the man who consistintley called my art terrible for 4 months. I feel accomplished. Still think this is kind of weird.This took me about 35-45 hours that I got through by talking to AntleredVultures and veniur and watching the pokemon anime. I'm on episode 420 now.
That wasn't supposed to be funny.
6x2 foot watercolor and sumi ink painting. Slight use of gel pens.

I agree that it's a bit different, but it's also really well done. The whole piece is interesting, and the details bring it to life, particularly the wires and detailing on electronics in general, not to mention the patterns on the wall. I took them to be the reflection of lab equipment--monitors and other machines.
The time you put in really shows, and you should totally feel accomplished. I particularly appreciate the details on the closest rat tail and the fur, and the color choices are just perfect. The grimy floor adds a nice touch of contrast to the smooth walls, and the textural differences between floor, walls, and fur add a lot.
In short, I love this and hope that I've properly expressed appreciation for the time you invested.
