- Previous to the apocalypse, Yuu lived a comfortable life with his family and few friends. He was always kind of a loner and preferred spending time to himself, although he didn't have trouble having a healthy social life.
- The apocalypse was rough for Yuu, mostly because his eyes began to rot shortly after becoming infected via sneeze. He didn't have a chance to take a last look at his family and friends after seeking shelter in the high school he attended.
