I wanted to favourite this, but then I realised I had already done it earlier. Fuck.

And, as a followup, no disrespect to the model, I think in the case of a portrait, this is very effective.
It just caused me to think about where you have been, aesthetically. You have solid skills. Sometimes we just need to let go of the centuries of pressure lobbed onto us by art history.

Cool stuff but... do you need the figure?
I think it becomes even more fascinating when I scroll down, lose the sense of figurative representation and the mystery deepens.
You know you're solid enough technically to do without it right? I get it though. It's a drug. We're all compelled.
But man, check out some of the work of Michiko Hoshino
There is another world for us out there.

Man, that's heavy.
Haha, I have trouble with just deciding on rudimentary post-processing sometimes. Wasting time being critical of your piece before it's final isn't really wasting your time, though I suppose you don't need me to tell you that. :]

Oh yummy, I really like the detail! And the colours are best.
As always you've out done yourself. <3
