Glad I'm not the only one who thinks the pink thing is PB. In the Suitor episode, it's been revealed she's at least 300+. Maybe she's had a few predecessor before her, but PB is definitely older than her looks.

I think that maybe Betty (Simon's FiancΓ©) was the bubblegum, and she helped him because she saw how much he cared for Marcy, also that she was the first ruler of a pre-finished Candy Kingdom and that she made an heir and then they took over and thus about 900+ something PB was born
(I only think this since in my little delusional world, Betty and Simon is still together and has a daughter that's PB ((and the Ice King clearly doesn't wanna go on dates with her)) and she and Marcy are together and Finn and FP are together, and Jake and Lady of course with the pupsters) ^__^

I agree, but wouldn't be possible, if the Ice King lost some of his memories of PB so that's why he made those tapes in the one episode to remind him but hated himself for kidnaping prince's and probably couldn't take the losing Betty, so he buried the tapes to move on with his life.

Hm, true, but now we after all also know that Betty 'simply' time traveled to the current Simon/Ice King and is trying to find a cure so he can return to normal again, and seeing as PB apparently is ancient, she probably was the bubblegum back then
