I've been drawing past 2 years using only graphite and always wanted to attempt colors as well. and i've found that colored pencils are the perfect medium bcz they are very affordable and not messy..lol. bcz i've been so used to B&W drawings, i got intimidated at first not knowing how to mix or layer colors. so i worked very slowly with a lot of frustration.. it took me almost a month and half and I learned a lot about the medium but I hope i could get better next time..done on Stonehenge paper using Prismacolored pencilsRelated content

This is stunning and really inspiring. Just out of curiosity, what technique did you use to get the little flyaway strands of hair to stand out against the coloured background?

You surely must have a lot of patience! The amount of detail is INCREDIBLE! And that with color too. WOW!! I am so amazed and hope that I someday too will have the endurance of carrying on for a month and a half on a sketch to reach this calibre!

Alright, this is going to sound stupid, but I almost had to cry, when I saw this drawing! I can't express my feelings right now. This is the first time I really like to draw something with coloured pencils! This is .. incredible! Thank you for that drawing! Really!

Very Great work! I too have recently forced myself to grow into color (which is some surrender of the control that a sharp point pencil, lead holder or mechanical pencil provides) and I've started using color pencils (ususally PrismaColor) and Stonehenge paper. Your progress seems rapid and very successful. Outstanding work!

ok course if this is the first time to draw with Colored Pencils i think that it's simply amazing ,great control as well as mixing colors and giving the natural tone , i thought it was pastel or something , and i think u should try it , it will give u and advanced look , but u have to take care cuz it's not well controled as Colored pencils , i tried it once to make a smoke in a Graphite drawings and it was amazing ,i never drew with colors before but i'll think it over after watching this

this is incredibly beautiful. I love that you used colour graphites, that's not a medium I've seen much of on here, and I think your technique is brilliant for a medium that I've seen often look quite childish. This is amazing. Well done. i particularly like your detail on the fineness of the hair
