I've grown quite attached to quite a few characters in Mass Effect 2, and Mordin is one of them. Bioware does a superb job in engaging their audience, and making them feel connected to the narrative.

His primary role on the Normandy is that of a scientist. Mordin Solus worked on refining the genophage to prevent the Krogan from adapting to it, but he also showed the Blue Suns first hand how ruthless an STG Operative can be when provoked.
