Description This drawing was actually a request, I don’t usually take them, but I don’t mind taking voice actor requests (of course if this actor’s work includes characters familiar with) and when I was requested to draw a tribute to Aleksey Bourzunov, I had so much fun drawing it, because this man is one of my most favorite voice actors ever.

Born in 1943, he was given up to orphanage as I believe his parents couldn’t support both themselves and their child, because the war occured at that time, but his grandmother took him in and raised him well. As the time passed Aleksey Borzunov became an actor and later started doin voiceover works, he was nicknamed the king of dubbing as he could voice many characters: males, females, young and old. As I have known this man’s voice for long, I can understand why his fans gave him such nickname.

As a child, I always wondered who was the man behind the characters he voiced and in 2014, I finally found some articles about him. But back when I learned of him, he was no longer alive and I was saddened by this...

In our country, Aleksey Borzunov is known for being the Russian voice of Spider Man from the 1990s animated series, Itzhak Stern from Spielberg’s “Schindler’s list”, Charlie Barkin from “All dogs go to heaven” and many-many more. However, he worked for Russian cartoons too and these are the characters he gave voices to!

If you want to hear how he sounded, here’s the video of him: youtu.be/ntgpJZWqsP4
