Drawn in about 3 hours, this was a fairly simple drawing, but I struggled with the way the hair almost hides the eye. It was hard for me to get it so the eye would just show through. I also struggled a bit on the teeth and upper lip. Not my best, but I thik it turned out ok. Its a drawing of alicia witt. If you don't know who she is you can check her out at imdb [link]I personally remember her the most from Urban Legend, but she's been in a lot of stuff
Drawn with graphite.
EDIT: The scan really added some lines...I'm sorry its the best I can do.

This is gorgeous...I loved her in 'Urban Legends,' and I LOVE that she's a redhead, her red hair makes her beautiful, and you really drawn a beautiful picture of her, I LOVE this photo,

Very nice work here! When I first looked at it, I thought it was a faint photograph, not a graphite drawing. On that note though, this drawing is lighter than I think it should be, and I believe it should be darkened up a bit so it is easier on the eyes and it makes it stand out more by creating more contrast. One of the nostrils seems a bit lopsided too. But other than that, this is very good, and the detail looks very real. Keep up the good work!

yeah, I have a problem with lightness that I've been working on...Im afraid I think that I'll lose detail as it gets darker...thanks so much for the comments!

Its drawn with HB, and 2H actually. I chew my pencils (and usually cant tell what they are), so thats a guess, but I know I usually lean towards the harder pencils, and as light as this is I can't imagine I used anything softer. I don't usually use anything harder than those either, and I only own 6B,4B,2B,HB, and 2H right now...so by way of deduction...that is my best guess.
I get a lot of people saying that my drawings are too light, and I know they are, but I just enjoy them more this way. I suppose I could use 6B and 4B and come up with a more dramatic result, but I tend to make more mistakes when I try to go really dark and I'm always afraid of ruining the peice.

well, so i must say that i have the same problem lol
i do all my drawings with a HB pencil, only because i have more practice in it. when i use any softer or darker pencil i usually make a mess, because i am not used to the pressure that i must use or things like that.
but i must say your results are far better than mine, beucause you can see no structural lines of any kind in your drawings, wich is very nice, even that the final result is lighter than it would be with a harder pencil. don't bother to what others say, you're doing very well that way
