this piece looks very smooth and clean to me. I especially love how his mouth opens a little and his eyes are focused on us.
And I find that there is an equal amount of background space with the model space. it's evenly balanced.
Not to mention the smooth curves of his muscles and chest/torso really makes the piece feel complete.
