Awesome. I knew a guy that took 18 inches out of the center of a Corvair but have not seen it done on a bug.

fantastic ..wow that was some work with torch and ..body ..and those VW swing axel trannies would be hard to fit in..so i wonder if this was a Ford 289 conversion..saw one like it once...short drive drive shaft
