Penny "Gadget" - Orphaned at a young age, young Penny was taken in by her Uncle Gadget. While he was in a dangerous occupation, often out of town for days on end and more than a little... eccentric, he was the best (and only) option for her.

But she loved it.

You see, Penny was far wiser and more mature than the average 10 year old. She (and her dog, Brain) would sneak away and join him on his missions, helping him behind the scenes (all without his knowledge, of course). She excelled in school, except when she was exhausted from her "extracurricular activities".

Her uncle loved police work. But he loved Penny more. So he retired from police work and took the role of a stay-at-home dad, so that he could be closer to her.

Penny appreciated her uncle's sacrifice, but knew how hard it was for him. So she pushed herself, finishing school as fast as she can and becoming independent so that he can resume his professional life.

And then a recruiter approached Penny on her campus about a secret law-enforcement agency. Mr. Trakker knew about her childhood adventures fighting M.A.D. agents, her computer skills and academic gifts and wanted to implement her as a field agent.

This new position also gave her the opportunity to work alongside her uncle, who later accepted a similar position, out in the open instead of in secret.

But Gadget is concerned about his niece.

Specifically, he's worried about one particular person that she's associating with...
