Frick it's been so long since I last typed up a proper biography for anything. I'll do my best to flesh her further as I go.

Name: Siku (Inuit for "Sea ice")
Age: Three years
Gender: Female
Breed: Siberian Husky
Height: 21 inches
Weight: 45 pounds
Build: Lanky with a long, cat-like body. Scars interrupting the lay of the pelt along her flanks and muzzle. Light patches of worn skin on her nose.
Accessories: Harness. Caribou leather with a brow tine sewn on both sides of the thick collar. Caribou skin padding the chest.

Tribe: Ikkuma
Position: Team
Handler: Kapvik (Inuit for "wolverine")

Personality: She sees the world from the bottom looking up. Always believing she owes the world something. Siku's opinion of her treatment is very skewed, and most attacks on her are either forgotten or credited to her own fault to cope. Her survival is owed more to her speed than strength. She is far more likely to turn tail and run than stand a fight out and has little time for honor. She is not above stealing and has become notorious for snapping up other dogs' meals. Her name is synonymous with vermin to some tribe members because of this. She accepts her role at the bottom of the food chain and no longer takes the names to heart.

She does poorly under pressure and tends to only be able to channel all her attention upon one task at a time. She can be talented, however, and her handler sees her ability to scavenge as a blessing--often bringing her out simply to track down dropped antlers and old kills to pick for skin and bones. Under the proper guidance, she is an arguably productive member of the tribe. At rest, she is fidgety. She is uncomfortable in close spaces and prefers to sleep alone outside under the cover of a burrowed out snowbank nearby Kapvik's hut. Only during the colder months of winter does she brave indoors without a persistent hand. From the perspective of her owner, Kapvik, she is late to mature, and will eventually grow into her true role in the tribe. In this unforgiving landscape, it is only a matter of time before Siku either submits to the harsh order or is crushed by it. He has taken her burden upon himself, despite the trouble this brings him.

With a pelt almost light enough to blend with the landscape, she runs in the daytime raids. These often go by in a blur to her, disliking the commotion, yet she is also prone to being caught in the fever of the moment. In a mob, she can and has engaged in the occasional squabble. In fact, she is actually very fond of a pack mentality, including running in the sled team. It is one place she can tolerate a crowd comfortably, placing her focus upon the task. She does not mind the occasional conversation with the other dogs, and will speak openly if they approach her. But if at all she feels pressured it can be assured that she will begin to look for an escape route.

History: Siku's birth was the result of an undesirable breeding of two dogs of lacking temperament and poor strength. Ideally, both her parents should have been bred with tougher individuals to mix more muscle into their progeny. Under this scrutiny, each pup was given hard eyes and tested like the others with less leniency and the expectation to cull the whole litter from the start. Siku was resilient in body, but her mind suffered. The pain and abruptness of the people made her distrustful of human hands almost immediately.

She slowly exiled herself to the outskirts of the tribe, and by the time she came of age to be trained she was practically wild. It was the opinion of many that she be butchered and forgotten. She was not worth the trouble and was a waste of resources. It was to her own luck that she allowed herself to be noosed and pulled into a hut before her case was called to jury. Kept there, she was forced to relearn a dog's endearment for human contact through handfed fish and being rubbed down by heavy hands repeatedly. Despite never feeling a devoted relationship with her new handler, Siku grew to tolerate him. In the years following, she still will not hesitate to flee at the first sign of a flaring temper or quick movement from any human.

She has few friends among the dogs. Her relationships with others are superficial and tentative. She believes subconsciously that everyone in her midst has an ulterior motive. She has a minimal grasp of the spiritual beliefs of her peers, though she shares in the subtle contempt for the bad hand that she and her people have been dealt by them.

As a member on the sled team, her role is speed, the one thing she excels at. Her lack of drive for the good of the tribe is often a source of frustration among her peers. Truly, she is not an obedient soldier to her people and places little thought towards their well-being. If given the opportunity, she would likely break away to someplace more forgiving. Yet she believes that no other tribe would accept her and also is tied to her owner's small acts of kindness. It is one of the few things that causes her to look over her shoulder, however briefly.
