A request for ; she mysteriously asked for a picture of Rod, a character from a PS1 game called "Threads of Fate" just as I happened to be playing through it again. Anyway, Rod is amazing, and if you know him, you know his amazingness; if you don't, you probably wonder why he's wearing a giant purple hat and a mysterious half-shirt.And why he's saying Pulsar Inferno Typhoon Omega.

...Not that I'm complaining, but it kinda looks like his pants are about to fall down. Prolly lost too much weight from not eating after having to give all his money to Rue and Mint. (Seriously, he can't afford food, but he can give me 4500G every couple of days?)

Wow, pardon the ridiculously delayed response. Haven't been on in ages...
But yeah, there's no official artwork of Rod (because Squeenix = jerks), so I tried to go by his character model, which is anorexically skinny. XD A guy that thin could not lift the weapons he has.
And yeah, maybe the reason he can't afford food is because he's been doing this FIGHT ME AND I'LL GIVE YOU MONIES thing for years. XD Poor Rod. He's a bean-eating-hobo. With a very expensive vehicle. XD

I feel like I may have heard rumors about something like that! Which would be really fun.
I've been replaying through the game recently ^_^ ... although the weird thing is I'm playing it on my ps3... which apparently will NOT PLAY PS2 GAMES... but will play ps1 games

Yeah, all PS3s play PS1 games, but only the launch ones and the Metal Gear Solid 80GB bundles play PS2 games. I lucked out and got a launch PS3, so I can play PS2 games, but it's hysterical going home and using the Slim that's attached to a 65-inch HDTV to play PS1 games. XD So pixelly. <3

heh heh.. yeah my husband was playing ffix on our ps3 the other day (our tv's about a.. 46 inch? I think?) But yeah, I remember that game being really pretty when I payed it on my old (ie like... 25+year old) mmm maybe 30 inchish? tv back in the day... but watching it on there.... bleah! So... yeah, pixely!
Yeah, I don't even know what particular model of ps3 we have... got it at a pawn shop... I think it only has like 20GB on it... maybe 30... it's pretty low, but I couldn't find any info on ones that low model that would play ps1 games, so /shrug

Hmm... they never made a 30GB PS3, so you either have a 20GB or a 40GB. Have you tried playing PS2 games by any chance? The 20GB models play PS2 games, but not the 40. All PS3s made play PS1 games, though. n___n

It will not play ps2 games... we were quite disappointed. So maybe it is a 40GB.. that would be nice

Nope, they all play PS1 games-- otherwise certain models wouldn't be able to download games from PSN, which would be bad business from Sony's perspective.
