Well, I'm as done as I'm going to be for now @_@Anywhoo. This is Serian, Seri for short. He's a mage...a mer-mage, heh...and he enjoys being a bit mysterious. That metal thing in his hair is just something he picked up from a shipwreck...he enjoys exploring them.
The spines on his wrist, pectoral, dorsal and tail fins are mildly poisonous. It's not fatal, but it's enough to incapacitate anything (or anyone) he feels threatened by.

His expression isn't very sinister, but the backdrop surely is. You can tell there's something poisonous about his from the colour-scheme alone, and the prickled fins of his help attest to it further. Awesome.

What a great, unusual pose. I've seen pics of merfolk doing swim-loops before but Serian has them totally beat. I love the way his arms and all his fins splay out, like he's doing it just for fun. Fancy choice of skin patterns, too. Great job!
