Description

German Führer Adolf Hitler in the tunic uniform of Führer of the National Socialist German Workers' Party (NSDAP) from the period of 1938-41. In 1938 the insignia of the Wehrmacht ("Defence Force", the name of the German military at the time) of an oak wreath surrounding a black-white-red rosette was added to the peaked cap in recognition of him being Supreme Commander of the Wehrmacht, prior to this there was no insignia on the red-brown section of the peaked cap.

After the outbreak of World War II Hitler almost exclusively wore the uniform of Supreme Commander of the Wehrmacht, however he was seen as late as December 1941 in Christmas celebrations with NSDAP officials and members wearing the version of this uniform with a double-breasted suit and black pants, so it remained official wear of Hitler through the war, but he chose to primarily wear the Supreme Commander uniform amidst the war.

This depiction can depict Hitler from 1938-41. By 1941 Hitler's moustache had significantly greyed.
