Description
This is Memento Mori. After painting him I realised he isn't right for Uzu, but I'll keep him for now.Mori was the vocalist to a visual kei band in the late 80's. They were quite successful, but after a long stint of fame they dissapeared, and Mori in particular was never seen again.
These days Mori saunters about the streets of Kyoto, buying trinkets and taking photos of strange tourists. He misses the life he had before, but there's only so much you can get away with as a vampire in the public eye. Can't risk it, see.

Simple but striking. And I seriously did not notice that he's wearing mismatched hands until I spotted another comment that mentioned it. Visually, I simply saw one gracefully open hand and one closed hand, and mentally extended the grace of the open one onto the visual of the closed one. Excellent excellent use of resources.

I really like this photo, the whole style of it reminds me of an old vampire movie, or it looks like a snapshot from one

Love it. His hands, the photo in general, and the story! I spent forever trying to figure out why "Momento Mori" sounded familiar to me.

I'm particularly fond of the look in his eyes, reminds me of drowning in a bottomless, pitch black ocean, while smiling the whole way down as a dim light reflects off those last... few... bubbles...
