This didn't scan as wll as I would have liked. The reallife version is much more appealing, for some reason. I'll color this, eventually.Again, I had no references, so I'm not sure if I got the King right, or not. Bleh.

eta: ETA: Uh, just so you know, this is sort of what I've always pictured going on in season 3, eventually. I think Azula will pull some 'prove your loyalty by killing uncle Iroh' sort of stunt thing (something where Iroh is directly threatened) Zuko will be all 'nuuuu!!! I am teh suxxors! I free you uncle!' when the Gaang is all ' We should help Iroh. He was a cool dude.' And Azula would go 'Ah hah! You are a traitor... again! Zuzu! You were gonna die anyways as Daddy hates you.' He'd be all emo and trying to challenge her, the gaang (pr just some of them, as Aang is probably in an old folks home recovering) then they will lovingly accept Iroh, and grudgingly let Zuko come too. Yeah. And he'd be ungrateful and rude, because he's ungrateful and rude, then would be all 'I'm emo cause I have no friends' and Katara would go 'my mothering instincts turn to you as well... I shall heal your emo, because that's what I do.'
That's my theory. I stick to it.

I like it because everyone is laughing and Katara is not, like she knows what pain he has been going through, Love it. Zutara look like it had died, but with that theory, anything is possible, and that trailer with Mai and Zuko kissing, it could just be a dream. (I hope)

It's "Book 3: Fire" by xcgirl08, and it is fanTASTIC. And a lot of the stuff you described happens in it. So, you should read it if you haven't, and keep drawing more Avatar, of course!

Aaw I love zuko. Avatar totally helps me relate to the kids I babysit who are gaga for that show. I really like zuko's mouth in this picture for some reason His outfit is really cool. The people in the background too are exactly how I could picture them acting in the show. Do you know when season 3 is starting? I havent been watching nickelodian lately so I wouldn't know.

If it were to turn out to be that, I would be so psyched, cause I love me a Zuko- but I don't think it is. He's such a dumbass, so noble, running into situations without thinking... def. a Gryffindor, in my mind. Very brave- almost suicidally so.

what made me think its possibly a plan is well u know how Azula leaves Zuko with Uncle and goes off to chase Aang? Well i thought he doesnt follow immediately. there is definitely some time that is unaccounted for, when Azula pursues aang, fights aang and katara and then Zuko shows up. I thought maybe Zuko and Iroh planned it, Zuko helped Iroh escape and Zuko did what he did to acquire azula's trust, so that when he gets to the fire nation he can screw Azula up majorly 
i had a whole "No Zuko is not evil" theory written up 
but i also think he is that foolish , and that he would do what he did to get daddy's love.
but he's our lovable fool and we do love him dont we?

That's really nice! I love how it's like all the people who he's "close" to are now so far away from him and they all seem like they're having a good time despite the rough situations they're in. And he, actually being in the "best" position looks miserable. I REALLY like how the only one who seems to notice that Zuko's there is Katara who's just looking at him like "You could have been here too..." Awesome job and a fave to boot ^-^
