Okay, so the potion shop stuff is backstory for Al, because yaaaaay guess what!
Clays goes out of town for awhile for some stuff, but before he gets back the Village is attacked and destroyed in the middle of the night. Alphonse and his little sister Avie barely make it out and cant stick around to wait for Clay to show up again. Clay finds the ruined village and assumes that both of them are dead, slowly going into a weird kind of numb rage I guess? he later on goes of his vow of never hurting or killed and creates a guild whose first purpose was to find the group who killed his boy friend and his little sister, but that goes out of wack.....and Alphonse because a sad depressed jumpy Wizard who wonders around with his sister.
