The 2014 FIFA World Cup is finally here. I've been waiting for this for two years. The match Spain-Netherlands is pretty thrilling. It's a rematch for 2010. I just hope it goes well this time.EDIT:

Het mag dan wel de finale niet zijn geweest, maar dat betekent uiteraard niet dat dit echt ontzettend goed voelt. De Spanjaarden verdienden het gewoon! Is het je ook opgevallen dat de Nederlandse spelers ontzettend ruig speelden (voornamelijk in de eerste helft)? Ik vond dat zo grappig! Het was een soort van revanche, maar uiteraard kwam daarna de 5-1 en was het nog beter. *zucht* Zou het niet fantastisch zijn als Oranje het voor elkaar krijgt zo goed te blijven spelen?
Schattige tekening, trouwens. Wel jammer dat z'n shirt niet blauw is.... En Spanje niet aan het huilen...............

Natuurlijk voelt het lekker om Spanje te verslaan, zeker met zo'n uitslag. Ik hou zelf ook wel van een wat ruigere wedstrijd, maar ik maakte meer zorgen dat ze teveel kaarten zouden pakken, het is pas de eerste wedstrijd en de scheidsrechter die de wedstrijd floot schijnt ook niet zo moeilijk te zijn met het geven van kaarten.
Het zou geweldig zijn als ze zo blijven spelen, maar Oranje heeft een geschiedenis van het ten onder gaan aan arrogantie als ze te lang heel goed spelen.

this was an intense match was kind of sad Spain lost but I have to hand it to Netherlands they were a tough cookie to beat! it was revenge from the last fifa which was also intense!! xD also love the pic its cute!

Yes, we have our pride back. After losing the final in 2010, UEFA 2012 was quite horrible and most Dutch prefer to ignore it. (I do!) Sadly this victory doen't give us that title we were so close to four years ago. The team will just have to get as far as they possibly can this year I guess.
The only downside to them winning is that van Gaal will go even more nutts than he already is. I can't stand the coach at all. I prefered van Marwijk by far.

haha yes it does give that little bit extra meaning to it. Glad you also liked the ad, I believe the person who came up with it has to be some kind of genius.
Ps "Ik zal geen wafels eten met Spanje." is a better translation. "Ik zal niet wafels met Spanje te eten." isn't wrong per se, but it does sound a bit a awkward.
