why arent there ever any people in your pictures?

I try to avoid them: they are stock pictures, easier to use without people in them. And I think that modern people and cars don't really suit with medieval architecture.
An other reason why I don't often do portraits is that French law is very strict with property of people's picture, we usually can't show a photo of someone without his permission (except of course in the private sphere). Nevertheless, you can see a few of them in my art gallery: [link]

Sorry: [link] let me know I did a confusion between Rennes and Rennes-le-Château which is a very small medival village I didn't know in the South of France (100 inhabitants, Figeac being a small town of 10.000 inhabitants), more or less 300 km from Figeac.

No. Rennes is in Brittany (a beautiful place I would like to visit one day and in the extreme West of France). Figeac is in the South-West of France, far away from the Atlantic ocean (distance between these towns: more or less 700 km). Chateau only means castel in french.

Attention, Rennes et Rennes le Château sont deux villes différentes, Rennes le Château se trouve "près" de Toulouse il me semble, donc je crois que c'est bien la même région

En fait, je viens de vérifier: c'est dans l'Aude, près de Carcassonne. Donc en Languedoc Roussillon. C'est plus près de Figeac que Rennes, c'est sûr! (à vue de nez dans les 300 bornes). Merci encore.

J'avoue que, sur le coup, l'histoire ne m'était pas venue en tête. A part ça, Rennes-le-Château ne figure même pas sur le Petit Larousse (mon village non plus, d'ailleurs...)

J'ai pourtant regardé dans le dico (Petit Larousse) et je n'ai pas trouvé, honte à moi! Dans ce cas, c'est bien la même région (Midi-Pyrénées), mais pas à côté quand même... Merci!
