for 1 month in my spare time I worked on this image.
about 50 hours split between search and image editing.
everything you see is photomanipulation, except for the typography. There was no digital painting. all images are originating from Deviantart (which required a long time to be found).

Here you can see how I built the robot’s head from a Stormtrooper’s helmet [link]

Here the images used to build the women's clothing [link]

The buildings were made individually and have many references. Here you can see that each one received a specific treatment [link]

In order to enhance the final work you can see some images and textures that were used in the scene. [link]

All images were obtained from Deviantart. So I linked all the image’s reference. (there were many)

I hope that by analyzing the image in detail people can draw their own conclusions about what caused the apocalypse. One tip, do not trust thealiens
