Description Another painting starring my girlfriend as the reference model. I didn´t have any things though out when I started this painting as usual, but I tend to come up with things as I go by. I really wish I could have more good ideas, but I hope this is something I can develop in times to come.

I spent 3 short evenings painting this one, using Photoshop with an Art Pad (Wacom tablet).

This web is a very nice touch. The pose is also good.
(I think that the part of the cloth that rests on her leg needs some less folds, such in the 3rd-4th step)

Thanks dude. Yes, the folds may have gone a bit crazy. The reference photo has got alot of folds, and I tend to stick with details from my reference.

This is a beautiful painting as always.
You really must have a lot of trouble replying to all those coments and messages.

I had no idea what to do with her when I started painting, but suddenly the spider-web appreared, hehe... I have a great reference model in my girlfriend. I am extremly lucky to have her in all meanings of the term.

I think it's perfect. Well, the one thing which IMO you should change is the back-light reflection on her forearms, because it seems to be too much regular a little bit. It allmost looks like made by eraser (especially her left forearm). But it's only my subjective feeling. Except it everything looks great. It's a great thing make something beautiful from sketch (i wish I could have wacom tablet ). You're gifted.

PS Do you think about watermarking your arts? I'm just curious, because your works are splendid and it would be a disaster if somebody rip it. (it's jus a question).

I don´t like water marks. It disturbs the picture so I´ll just stay with my tiny signature and web-address, hehe. This is all personal projects and if people want to do things with this, there´s nothing I could do anyway.

the whole thing is amazing, but i have to say the feet and hands are the best part. because they can be so damn hard to get right at unusual angles. (a pretty face alone is so much easier!) and you do it perfectly. i swear you're showing off

Well, I do have great reference photographs from my girlfriend. And by using the grid-technique I get the proportions in place. And it is important not to think that you are actually drawing feet or hands, but just shapes and shadows...

Awesome work, love the coloring. Imaginative too.
You might want to work on the lighting around her torso though- it looks sort of flat against the rest of the drawing.
Otherwise, like I said, brilliant stuff, as always.

I think each portrait you paint of Natascha is better than the one(s) that came before. A humorous question: How does she feel about being compared to dangerous spiders that devour their mates, and getting snuggly with extra-large serpents? Seriously, the two of you do beautiful work. Have you two considered colaborating on a painting (beyond posing as the subject, I mean)?

Thanks! Hehe, she still haven´t yelled at me so I guess she likes the tag of being beautiful, but still dangerous We might do something, we´ll see when she moves down here with me in a couple of months... I would love to do some work with someone as talented as Natascha!

Thanks, I tried to portrait Natascha as closely as possible. I love making portraits of people, and I always focus on resembelance.

This is such an awesome painting! I love the pose she is in, and the glow you added to the very intricate spiderweb. The background is beautiful, and the costume on the girl is very arachne-like. This is very beautiful.
