Description
Been more motivated recently to do some artwork. This is on a canvas measuring 20in x 40in. It is inspired by works by Robert Kurshner. But I have used stencils and usually his works are much much larger than this.
I have called it Winter Garden because it has things that are flowering or fruiting right now in our garden here in New Zealand.
Its also the first time I have worked with gold foil (imitation)
All the plants in it I drew from observation, not from photos, which is what I have done in the past. The large white plant is a continuous line blind contour drawing, I wanted it to look very loose and free.
The colours have been derived from the plants themselves.
