D: well, maybe u can find an anime that they might like...cuz I know my parents, especially my dad, didn't like anime at all....so I had to be really careful what series I liked....so I searched and found One Piece...and my dad loves it. XD and he's grown to tolerate most anime now. C: as for cosplay...my mom still thinks it's a waste of money D;

One Piece...I dunno...lol, but I love it...especially since I'm a pirate...er....my mascot is, hahaha. It's kinda hard to get my parents into anime, since they say its a cartoon and its for "kids"....

ah yeah. I know a lot of parents use that excuse...that just cuz it's a cartoon means it's for kids... Dx but what's wrong with us liking cartoons? I mean... I like anime and some of the kid cartoons...we need to show them in a nice way that not all cartoons are made for kids....that a lot of anime have complex story lines and are deep. D:
yeah, I try doing the same thing, using old clothes for cosplay...and my mom still sees it sort of as a waste....but she tolerates it more....and I think she's finally grown to put up with my cosplay lol;

yeah, very true....but there are plenty of american cartoons aimed for adults and stuff too. so anime can be the same way. Dx I wish more people understood that D:

lol, well I usually have my friend help me or have my grandma sew something for me if I need it. XD but other than that I usually make super simple cosplays that just require a t-shirt that needs some design on it or something like that XD
hmmm, I could take a sewing class at the college; but, the only day and time to take the class gets in the way with some Bible study I have at church every week D:
