It wasn't long before Fox and Krystal head for their first destination on their Solar System tour. It wasn't long before they were approaching the planet Mars. Ankha looks with widened eyes.

Fox: Bet you never thought that you would see Mars up close.

Ankha: Never in my lifetime. What a stunning sight. I've only seen things like this in books and films. Never thought I would see this in person.

Krystal: And yet there are still mysteries about Mars beyond that in films. Mars is a a dusty, cold, desert world with a very thin atmosphere. Mars is also a dynamic planet with seasons, polar ice caps, canyons, extinct volcanoes, and evidence that it was even more active in the past.

Ankha: Really?

Fox: Many believed that in prehistoric times Mars had a thicker atmosphere and may have been able to sustain life. Now Mars has a thin atmosphere made up mostly of carbon dioxide (CO2), argon (Ar), nitrogen (N2), and a small amount of oxygen and water vapor.

Ankha: Amazing. Such a mysterious planet that has been part of our pop culture.

Krystal: How true. But wait until you see the worlds beyond Mars.
