Description
Corny title I know...But aside that, another Steven Universe pic done by my good buddy , this time with the tragic figure known as Lapis Lazuli. Just amazed with the impact her character has made on the show so far and she's easily one of the most intriguing as well as tragic since we know little about her, but aware that she is as tv tropes would call her, a broken bird. And I figure that would be appropriate for the idea is if for a what if scenario, my OC would meet her, and try to comfort her to no avail. But by surprise, she hugs him and feels comforted.
I certainly do hope we get to see more of her sometime in the future, I just have the feeling we're not done with her yet...pending on what happens with Malechite, but who knows? Enjoy!

I really hope in one episode that lapis does come back. And if in that same episode jasper does too then I hope Jasper's gem gets smashed into a million pieces

I think that the writers have confirmed that both Lapis and Jasper are gone for good; thinking about it, if Lapis ever broke from the fusion, then Jasper would be free, and that would only lead to global devastation. Also, malachite releases toxic fumes when it's exposed to water, and that might be one thing that can kill a Gem without them regenerating.

Where'd you hear that from? And I didn't see any chain reaction when she touched the water. I don't know if you've been paying attention, but Gems can't die the same way humans can. As far as I'm concerned, they're both halfway to Rapture by now...

That would be a shame, but I like to think there might be a chance if they can work it in right. But that's why I just prefer to let things play out and see what happens.

There's no way that'd leave Lapis' sacrifice meaningful and not leave the huge gaping plot hole of Japser opened.
Although, before "Say Uncle" was confirmed to take place before the Steven Bomb, I entertained the theory that Uncle Grandpa would be able to free Lapis; if anyone could, he'd be that anyone.
