Aliens do NOT exist in real life, but in Heartina's universe, there are lots of them that come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Extraterrestrials, such as the iconic green space dude, like to explore space and visit planets to research their stuff for fun.
Magical Shiba Inus are not just a type of alien, but also a species of dog, because of their similar earthly brethren on Earth. They never went to explore space before so they sent Heartina, a creative one of their kind, from their home planet to Earth when she was a puppy, hoping that she'll meet any of their earthly relatives...

Heartina is clever enough to encounter space visitors; most of them are nice, some of them are rude. Others might be gluttonous creatures and stuff.
