SXE list #12 Inner Self

FULL VIEW PLEASE!

THIS MAKES ME WANT TO SCREAM, "THIS IS WHY I DONT DO ANIME PICTURES ANYMORE!" they screw themselves up. no matter how slowly and carefully i go, the colors mix where i dont want them to. and then the colors look crappy when scanned. CURSE YOU, CRUEL WORLD!

Sooo... I started drawing this forever ago. and I wanted to do it as sort of a compare and contrast of the same picture that I did years ago, to see how I've improved.
and yes, some of the coloring is sloppy... i did all the coloring today, and i was lazy. I'll go in and smooth it out at some point.

and this is really frustrating, 'cause the silver i used.. my scanner turned it gray! argh! it was the coolest colored pencil i've ever used 'cause it is actually metallic on the paper! but i guess the scanner can't handle the metallic and just turned it dark. crap. argh.

and, if you full view it, you can see his eyes, which is the part i like most (always the most) anyway. i wanted them to look almost feline 'cause he's in the middle of transforming, so... he shows more of his animal side then i guess!
but this is transforming kurama!

and this is "inner Self" 'cause kurama doesn't know who he is on the inside. is he youko? or suichi?

I have decided eyes are my specialty. a face just isn't a face without pretty eyes (especially when it comes to anime/manga sort of pictures) so my favorite part about this picture is the eyes! they are gold (for Youko) and green (for his human half)
