still the characters and the story of houseki is awesome for draw a lot of the characters.

if not the plot maybe have some kind of poetry, imagine a world where humans dont exist anymore,
and the new form of life are gems that fight against enemies that came from the moon.

I hadn't heard of "Houseki no Kuni", so I don't get the water reference, but it looks like she's manipulating it.
"Houseki no Kuni" must be good as you've done 2 pieces for it, and I only missed dA for a couple of days, and you've been very busy
The name Cinnabar makes me think about the burnt red colour of cinnamon (the spice).

the characters of Houseki no kuni are gems, in the case of cinnabar she can manipulate the mercury
(a good part of the mercury come from the red gem cinnabarite). But in this one is easy to confuse it with water .
I like the characters of the story and also the hair (with a gem look) is something new to draw.

Actually, I have just finished watching the first 2 episodes.
The premise is quite unique, and that makes it all the more enjoyable because of its originality.
Now that I understand that the protagonists are sentient gems, the art makes more sense now. I did notice that the Anime makes considerable, if not all, use of CGI which is employed very well.
I didn't realise that Cinnabar was manipulating mercury though, in the last encounter, the fluid had a gold colour, but maybe the mercury fact is revealed in the next episodes.
Onwards now, I have to see how well Pho is dealing with the giant snail.
