Description Part of my Sycamore Street Hill series in inner city downtown Cincinnati, Ohio, USA.

Many residents would lean out the window to say hey, but few did it from the second floor.  This particular image was difficult to crop as the angles were not true to perspective of the vertical and horizontal ups and downs.  After trying different leans, both right and left, I went with the original negative's angles trusting my first reaction to be correct.

Taken with a Nikon F with 50mm F2.0 Nikkor lens on Kodak Plus X film, in 1969.

This is such a beautiful capture, and what a great perspective.  They seem so far away, yet so close.  I rather enjoy the photograph, and the wonder on her face is a perfect setting for the time.

The lines and angles are perfect, with the windows lining up with the left edge and the diagonal trailing off in the lower right.

"Look!  There's a white man down there!  With a camera!"

The simple wonderment of children.
